No Place Like Home

I had an amazing time visiting my family in Arizona for Christmas. I had to get a lot in with my short time home, but I think I did just about everything on the to-do list.

My dad and I enjoyed burgers at In-N-Out the moment I got off the plane. A Double Double, Animal Style (mmmm). Burgers don't get any better than that! They're so good, my buddy Brandon and I hit it up again when we hung out in Phoenix.

While I was in Phoenix, I went to Tempe to hang out with some of the coolest people in the world, Brandon, Sheri, Sean, Sharon, and Kathy. We grabbed some food at Bison Witches (one of our favorites), and talked over coffee at Starbucks on Mill Ave. It was great seeing everyone, especially now that we are all living across the country.

I also got to play with my nieces and hang out with my brothers. My brother, Ross, my dad, and I also went for a hike in the Kofa Game Range in the Sonoran Desert. I played around with my new camera, we wandered through a mine shaft, and had some lunch cooked over a fire. The desert is amazing, so I can't go home without a drive around.

It was a great trip full of some much needed rest. Check out some of the pics I took, you can click on them to see a bigger version.

Our Wish Came True

Winecoff took on the task this year of raising money for the Make A Wish Foundation. Make A Wish is an organization that "grants the wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy." Our school's goal was to raise $5,500, the average cost of granting one child's wish. We were overcome with joy when we discovered that because of the generosity of our students, staff, parents, and community, we were able to raise over $8,500 for Make A Wish.

In memory of Hope Stout, an amazing twelve year old girl, our 1,000+ students met on the back field to celebrate our accomplishment. Hope's wish was to grant the wishes of every other child on the wish list. This one's for you Hope...

Welcome to Rm. 201, on-line!

That's right Mr. Gwynn has joined the ranks of Coca-Cola, Ford Motor Company, Donald Trump, and even Barney, by creating his very own website. My goal is that this site will serve as an additional resource for both parents and students. Now you can check in on homework assignments, see what we're working on in class, and anything else I deem worthy of being posted on-line. So sit back, throw your feet up and enjoy.
